I would also like to know if anything can be done about scratches in the leather steering wheel? I have tiny fingernail scratches from when my g/f drives the ES . BTW my steering wheel is black.

Default MY Steering Wheel Solution

My steering wheel was a mess also. For about $50.00 I put a WheelSkin leather replacement. You have to see it to believe just how good this turned out. Here is a pic, but it really does not show how good this fix is. It feels like leather because it truly is leather.
It is worth a try.

I used the same thing--a wheelskin, except I paid a mere $40 + tax. You can get them online although I got mine in an upholstry shop. If you're impatient like me, try calling around local shops and see if they carry them. It takes at least a good hour to stich on. I screwed up a few times so it took me more like 2 hours. The end result is worth it though. It certainly doesn't look like it came with the car, but its the best looking "wheelskin" around and is certainly the cheapest solution to our steering wheel woes.
