Meguire's Scratch X

Meguire's Scratch X
I have what looks like little water spots in my paint. I have a black 01 gs430. Is there any benefit (or harm) to applying Scratch X to the entire car? Should I use clay bar? There are some oxidizing spots too around the door handle. Is there a step between scratch x or clay bar and NXT wax?

Andy,
Scratch-X should be able to remove those water spots, as long as they have not resided on your car for that long. If Scratch-X is not enough, then move on with the clay bar. You need a lubricant spray, like either water or a quick detail spray (Meguiar's), before you apply with the clay bar. Keep in mind that the clay bar will remove any old wax on your car, so you may want to apply wax after you're done. Hope this info helps

You may want to start with a quick vinegar wash. If the mineral deposits are fresh enough, and they have't etched, that alone should work.
Doug's advice is good for more set in spotting though.
If you try the white vinegar, simply apply it with a new sponge on the car when it's clean, and let it dwell a few minutes (3-5 minutes should suffice), You can do a section at a time so the vinegar doesn't sit too long on one part of the car while you're sponging another etc. Then rinse very thoroughly each section as you do it. You'll need to rewax after that as well.
Good luck!

thanks to both of you. I think it's in there pretty good. I'm going to do the dawn wash and then the scratch x and see. If it's not there yet I think, a clay bar and then polish is my next move.
And the final wax once I'm satsfied.
