Rear bumper quote

Rear bumper quote
For the last year or so, the rear bumper of my '01 ES has endured a few small cuts and scrapes from various parallel parking incidents when I lived in NY/CT, as well as a couple of license plate screw indentures that came with the car. Now that I'm living here in FL, I figure I have more time on my hands to take care of the rear bumper.
I got a quote for the bumper from a body shop in Orlando recommended by a fellow CL friend/member. The quote comes out to about $291.38, which includes the two-tone factory paint (black/grey) and clearcoat, and 2 days turnaround time. Is this a decent price for a body shop to repair the rear bumper of my ES? Any comments/questions much appreciated, thanks in advance

Yes, that's about what I'd expect to pay over here. In fact, When I bought my GS, I had to have my rear bumper sprayed due to a grocery cart scrape that took the paint off when the previous owner had it. I had no time to do it myself then. and I took it to my shop and they charged me $300 for it. Tri coat pearl in my case, but yours is in the general area of what a quality job should cost for that work. I've since had to do a couple small pieces on the car myself (the first time I sprayed pearls) and they came out well, but it's a lot of work and tedius, so pay them what they're asking and you'll be a happy camper again.
You might get it a bit cheaper somewhere else Doug, but I think if they come recommended, then you're better off with a shop that has a good rep vs one that's cheaper with no known rep.
Good luck Doug.
