Default Painted on pinstripe removal

My wifes GS300 had gold pinstripe on green until yesterday. Not really a good combination in my opinion but now I see why it was done. It appears to be recently applied vinyl pinstripe and was to cover up painted on grey/tan pinstripe that was rubbing off. The gold was really bold and wide. Wide enough so that the wider vinyl stripe covered both of the painted on pinstripes. Not very subtle. I have removed all of the vinyl pinstripe and about 50% of the painted pinstripe and it looks a lot better. With diligent buffing using a soft cloth and WD40, I am able to remove a lot of it without any damage to the finish. It appears to have been applied on top of the clear coat finish. My question is does anyone know of any sort of solvent or compound that would make easier work of removal of the painted on pinstripe without damaging the finish? I prefer the cleaner look of the sparkling green paint without any pinstripe. Right now the passenger side has painted pinstripe on the front fender and half of the front door. The rest of it came off. The driver side has most of the painted pinstripe and has small areas where it is gone. The stripe is so narrow, it is not very noticeable. Thanks for your input.

there is a tool you need it is a rubber wheel which acts like an eraser and safely erases the pinstripe

You might want to try this:

I know it is for rock chip repair but the directions say it will remove paint that is not factory applied. Just a thought, good luck!

Meguiars Scratch-x and a ton of elbow grease will get that off. I used this method on my friends Durango to remove his ugly azz gold pinstripe.
