the trailing edges of my side skirts are getting badly stone chipped from debris kicked up from the tires. i've been using touch up paint like mad and it's getting futile.

am i the only one here with this problem? is there a way to protect from this?

Hey ben, are you constantly on debree filled roads or is it just some places you go, because you can use the clear plastic bra's on the side its a custom job since its for the side skirts but it works. Or if you only venture onto debre filled roads sometimes maybe try using a removable mud flaps in front, I used them and they helped alot when my house was being built and I had to check it out alot and the roads inside the complex were still gravel.

it's winter and there is a lot of crap on the roads i can't avoid

here are pics of the damage:

the black spots are primer exposed from under the chipped paint... the white parts is actually fiberglass showing through.

the skirts are part of the WALD executive bodykit that is on the GS.

I would say get some 3-m clear bra film or Venture shield film. I thinkAutozone or Pepboys sold some small packs of 3-m film I think 4' x 2 or 3 ". You can get some and just cover the end cap your self after you get it repainted you just won't be able to get one piece to go around any sharp curve.
I just got my body kit painted and waiting for it to cure/dry well before getting it covered. you can put masking tape on it until your ready to clear film it.
