Hi

I have a chance to get a complete detail including permaplate paint/leather/carpet treatment for $150.00. This is from a friend of a friend who is the detail guy at a GM dealer.

It's a dealar applied protectective coating to the interior/exterior. I'm asking if anybody has had it done

Permaplate is a wax for lack of a better term that has more in common with snake oil that with a good wax. It's supposed to "bond" to the surface and give a car's finish some magical layer of protection. It doesn't. Save your $$$, there are several websites that have reported on this stuff, a search of Google ought to turn some up.

If you seriously want to protect the front of your car, get the 3M film (Invinca-Shield, Stonguard, X-Pel, etc.), that stuff really works.

Save your money, it lasts about as long as any other cheap wax!

MS is guaranteed 5 years, and is re-applied after 3 included in cost...
