As I am shopping for rims, I was told that for the 3 piece rims, it's a pain to clean out around every little bolts around the wheel.
I am wondering how do most of you clean out your wheel? is there something on the market that you can just spray on, and spray off with water to clean?? Or is it a toothbrush kind of job?
thanks,

lex,
i had the ssame thoughts before i started looking for wheels too. this is what i suggest:
1.try not to wait too long before the bolts and rivets get reallly dirty.
2. use any foaming car wash(i had some cheap turtle wax ones that i did not sue anymore, so i tired on wheels), spray around the entire rim with focus on the rivets, let it soak for 10 minutes, use garden spray hose on the stream setting and really hose the wheels, this should do the job.
if the dirt and dust is bad, you might need soft tooth brush. just my experience, worked for me.

Zaino
I'm telling ya, ever since I used Zaino products on my rims, the 'blingingness' is superb Use Z2 on your wheels, leave it to dry, wipe it off and finally spray some Z6 on that and wipe that off. You will see the chrome 'twisting' in your face and the shine, well just you will need some ===>

be sure to follow the directions of any wheel cleaner you use carefully especially the part about applying the product to cool/cold wheels.
i once bought a product called 'hot rims' thinking it could be applied while the wheels were hot. nope, read the instructions, "do not apply when hot"
i've never had it damage any wheels but it will discolor your brake calipers and make them look awful. right after driving your wheels may not feel hot but check the calipers, they'll give you a more accurate measurement of whether or not it's safe to clean.

I use Z2, Z6 just like paint. It makes the wheel shiny and slippery, and the brake dust comes right off.
My understanding is that these Zaino products can be used for any non-porous surface.
