I have read a few people who really like Dr. Colorchip or Langka and others who say it is not worth the expensive price it is.
I've used both and didn't love them. They work ok on rash (like on the bottoms of bumpers), but on chips I didn't find they worked very well. It is possible I was using them wrong, but I don't think so. Of the two I preferred Langka.

I got a huge road rush yesterday on my driver side sideskirt and lower portion of the driverside rear door so i'm thinkin bout doing this...gonna pickup some touchup pen base and clear coat. Do you think some PB SSR2.5 with a yellow pad would be enough to polish out the sanding or should i get some SSR3.5/IP?

One rash on top.. and a huge one on the bottom.

Hmm, I don't know Poorboys products but I know for sure that a 4" orange pad and Menz PowerGloss gets them out pretty well

I'm glad I found this old thread. Can anyone confirm whether this method of chip repair requires a clear coat?

Lol, if you want a good quality paint job with minor repairs your looking at 3-4 thousand dollars man. Do you even know how expensive quality paint actually is?

btw anybody that needs a color match or a sample.... CALL YOUR NEAREST autobody shop and ask them for a touch up kit. This will be a PERFECT match and will come in a nailpolish like container.

When I did autobody we used to give these out all the time, sometimes for free if they were a returning customer.

If they dont then that shop is brutal and you probably shouldnt ever go there for any body work lol

I agree nowadays Lexus paint is really soft , really easy to chip. Just had my 3rd LEXUS obsidian black five months ago , the hood chipping like no one cares. I planning to have it repainted and put a clear bra on it next spring. But i was wondering if anyone tried this method before? other than the OP?

I just tried it on my black LS and it does work great. Dab, sand, buffed with a small DA.
