So I had my car washed today (stupid mistake) because I haven't had any time to do it myself, and the car wash place put some nice scratches on my nav screen. I haven't bothered going back to them I know they're just gonna give me the run around, but I was wondering if there was anyting I could apply to remove those scratches? You can only really tell when the Nav scren is off, but I leave my screen off most of the time anyways so it's pretty noticeable.

The Nav screen is made of soft plastic and it is made non-shiny to reduce glare. About all you can do is clean it with a cleaner specifically made for LCD screens and live with it. Any attempt to polish out the scratches would make it look worse.

Great...I guess I'll go try and hash it out with the car wash tomorrow...don't really expect them to do much though.

Mkaes me wonder if there is a company that is producing overlays like on PDA's and digital camera LCD screens.

Might call this place and see if they might have an application as large as the nav screen.

Well I have an IS300 so it's not touch screen so overlays don't really help me...just gotta be careful when I wipe the screen, which I am however unfortunately careless carwash attendants are not. Plus now that the damage is done a screen protector won't do anything.
