So what do you guys do about keeping your interior carpeting clean? For lack of anything better our temporary solution is a clear floor mat that we got at Walmart for $6 for the set ...

Give it a couple of months. You'll be able to order ExactMats, which are clear vinyl mats that are custom shaped to that of the new ES mats. They'll also come out with custom shaped All-Weather Mats. They're about $50 on-line per set.

My salesperson got me a set of the black rubber all-weather mats. It actually provides a nice contrast with my ash interior with black trim panels. The only section of carpet that gets dirty is the portion below the emergency brake pedal and near the gas pedal. An occasional scrubbing with a nylon carpet brush and either 303 Fabric Cleaner 30:1-4:1 or FK1 121 10:1 clean that up real nice.

Try www.matprotector.com. I bought these for my 2002 ES before I took delivery in 4/02, the mats are still in them and just like new.
