has anyone tried leather/vinly dye on their car?
well basically i wanted to know if anyone has tried leather/vinly dye on their car and got good results. i want to know because i want to use it on my car but am to afraid because i dont want it to turn out like crap. i want to try the dye becuase i have a black sc400 and the cost of reupholstering it would be too much for me(only 16yrs old) so if ne one has input and/or pictures that be nice.

Hmm, i was in the same situation as you, having just turned 16, i needed a low cost solution for my ugly cracked seats, and i was refered to Leather renew. As far as the application, the dye came with an aerosol spay attachment and was very easy to use. They matched the tan color of my seats very well and i simply left the vinyl upholstery undyed. Aside for acouple small drips, and some touching up, it improved the look and feel of the leather. Overall, i spent two weekends and $140 for all the materials.
