Default Perfect shine on a RX330 in progress. (w/ pictures)

Decided that this is the perfect week to put on my layers of Klasse SG and P21S, since it'll be sunny all week.

Day One:

Wash car with Dawn, just to strip previous NXT wax layers.
No need to clay, I clayed it only 3 months ago, still feels smooth.
Dried with MF towels.
Applied a nice layer of Klasse AIO and SG

Pictures, windows weren't washed cleanly yet, chrome wasn't dressed, tires and rims weren't prepped. The only thing I did was wash and apply AIO and SG first.

Next I will apply 2 more layers of Klasse SG after a 24-hour wait period between layers. Then after that, I'll apply 3 layers of P21S with 24-hour wait periods between that as well.

By hand or PC ? Was the Dawn really necessary since you were polishing with AIO anyway ?

Was all by hand, the buffing of AIO and SG was a bit tough.

I heard AIO wasn't a strong polish, so I didn't think it could remove the wax. Plus, I don't use dawn often, since I know it can damage paint, I'll probably only use it at most, twice a year, when I feel claying isn't necessary at the moment.

That's a 2005 RX330 AWD by the way.

Day two:
-Applied second layer of SG, not a noticeable improvement by pictures, so no pictures today.

I applied SG to the whole car first this time, because last time I applied it to one area at a time, and buffed it off right away. Just earlier this morning, I read that SG was supposed to be applied to the whole car first, to let it haze a bit. Letting it haze made it quite a bit harder to buff off, but Meguiar's Quik Detailer helped in removal a bit.

SG is not the most optically clear sealant so I would have suggested you do AIO plus P21S directly. In any event I would not add any extra SG layers. That will mute the flake.

You will like P21S. It's a great wax.

Day Three:
Third layer of SG, and your right it isn't that much of an optical improvement, probably a bit more protection at least. Buffing off by hand was actually quite hard, it seems like it dries quickly, even if I apply it thin.

Tomorrow will be the P21S wax, should I use the foam applicator that came with it? Also, how long am I supposed to wait for it to haze then buff off?

Oh, I almost forgot about posting pictures. This is with one layer of P21S on, it rained the day after, so I couldn't apply the second layer right away, I just washed it the next day and reapplied P21S again.

The results are great, surface feels extremely smooth, it isn't as "deep" or as "glossy" as I'd want it, but since it isn't a black car, the Savannah Metallic color is great.

The included foam applicator is fine for the P21S . According to manufacturers reccommendation, no waiting is necessary before buffing off. Can apply to one panel and remove before proceeding with the next. Waiting for it to haze will make buffing more difficult. I don't think that 24 hrs is needed between layers of P21S either.
