how to remove paint?
On my way home yestersday, someone spilled some white paint on the road. I didn't pay attention so I just ran over the paint. Later I found out some of the paint splashed to the right side of my car, near the bottom of the front door.
Does anyone know a good way to remove those white paint? The paint looks like the normal paint that you would use to paint on wood. I am not sure whether it's oil or water base.
I can scratch some of the paint off with my finger nail, but I wonder if there's a better way that doesn't harm my car and my finger

Several manufacturers make a product engineered to remove it without harming the car paint. Here's one that's noteworthy:

I would suggest this approach over clay, because the hard remains of the latex paint will likely scratch the car paint even if you're careful with the clay. A solvent will break the foreign paint down rather than chip it away, which is what you want to happen.
Mineral spirits is another thing to try, and is safe as well, although I suspect it wouldn't be quite as effective as a product made for water based paints. Can't hurt to try it though if you have some in the garage. Good luck!
P.S. Should go without saying that you'll have to re-wax (and possibly polish first) after using a solvent as such.

Where are you at in california. We make some stuff at work that is awesome. I Used it to take paint, gum, stickers ect of everything. I had gum down the side of my car last summer and it took it all off with no issues, except it will strip the wax off though. I even use it to degrease my driveway. And its waterbased.
