Default preventing winkles in leather

I've been in my is for about 5 days now and i notice that the leather is sorta dry and wrinkled. i know that after long time of use, the leather will begin to crack and wrinkle. What can i do to prevent that? i have leather cleaner and conditioner and i plan on cleaning about once a month but will that really prevent the leather from wrinkling? thanks guys

You car might have been in the sun outside for a while before you bought it. Make sure the cleaner is very mild and do not rub the leather when it is wet with cleaner or conditioner as it may wear off dye (I know from experience). Use a micorfiber towell to lightly wipe on the cleaner and maybe agitate it with a boars hair brush if yo have one. The using your hands idea somone had for applying the conidtioner is a very good one.
