Default Chrome and Minor Scratches

I did some searching and could not find a definitive answer.

I have a few minor scratches on my chrome lips that I want to clean up. I think they were caused from small rocks on the road.

What is the best product to use? Heavy Metal, Scratch-X ?

Thanks in advance.

You might try "simichrome polish", usually available at motor cycle shops or hardware stores.

Be careful with semi chrome. It does have a tendency to scratch. Probably the best out there is Autosol. Do a Google search. It can be purchased from the Eastwood Company, www.eastwoodco.com.

If you have chrome lips, I don't think you want to use Heavy Metal. I love the Heavy Metal polish but I have polished lips. It will most likely scratch your chrome.

I contacted Heavy Metal and they said the medium and fine are ok to use on chrome. I ordered both and will let you know how it works.

Try looking for Autosol at NAPA / CARQUEST also. I've used the product, very good.
