Windshield..

To clean dirt and grime off, I use either Meguiar's Quick Detailer spray, or better yet, Stoner's Invisible Glass. Both can be found at your local Walmart or auto parts store.
Time to time, I put on a coat of car wax on the windshield. Helps out when rain comes and it repels off your windshield

I used Rain-X on my last car. It worked, but the water really beaded and reflected bright lights. So I got tons of irritating white dots on my windshield (until the wipers cleaned them off.) Very annoying.

When I purchased my 05 LS 430 last year I asked the parts mgr what they used on the windshield and he informed me that it was " Aquapel". He gave me a small applicater good for one application. It works like rain-x only it seems to last a lot longer...Joe

Rain X problem
I've used the Rain X numerous times and I think there is no equal when it comes to rain repellants, but I did encounter a problem (my own fault). If applied correctly the Rain X works incredible. One day I applied it very sloppy during a rain storm. I stupidly applied the Rain X with a wet windshield and side windows and eventually in the rain the stuff ran across my B pillar plastic inserts. The next day the clear coat on the plastic started to peel off. Not cool! But totally my own stupid fault for improperly applying the Rain X. The one time I did it wrong it stung me. $80.00 for a new B pillar molding. Now I am extra careful when applying and especially try not to contact any of the plastic weather strip around the windshield, to avoid any other mishaps. Hope this warns everyone

Hum, I found this on another forum.
"Another interesting trivia about Aquapel is, it's the OEM winshield treatment on Lexus vehicles at the factory / dealer. So that's what it means when the Lexus brochure says "rain-repelling front windshield and front passenger side glass""
