Hello everybody,

I am thinking about maintaining the moonroof on my RX300. It works fine, but I don't think it'll last forever unless I maintain it properly. I suppose that I should clean out all the dirt and grime, then apply white lithium grease. Any ideas?

Lexus used yellow/amber lithium grease that's available at Walmart, is that OK?

I tilt the roof up, then go around the edge with Aerospace 303.

Slide it back, touch up the rest of the rubber edge. Vacuum out the cavity,
then wax well all around the painted inner edge of the roof opening.

Grease the pivits for the air deflector. Grease the deflector's stainless restore rails.

i've never done anything to my moonroof on my 1993 es 300 and it still works great. *shrugs*

Me too. But I guess if you're bored and have a little time to kill why not? But this is the first I've heard of someone wanting to maintain a sunroof.
