Default Cleaning pen marks from headliner....

Alright guys, I have an 06 GS300. I took it down to miami beach, valet parked it down there for the weekend. After coming home and cleaning the car, I noticed that there are black pen marks right above my head next to the sun visor!! What type of cleaning products should I try to get those marks off the light gray headliner?> Thanks

Might want to try the Tide Pen they sell to remove clothes stains. Whatever you use, try not to get the headliner too wet. The cloth for the headliner is glued in place and if you get it too wet, you will start to disolve the glue which will cause the cloth to sag. Try not to scrub too hard either.

Another thing you might want to try is Folex. Folex is pretty good at removing stains -- but again, try not to saturate it. It will be hard because Folex works best if you saturate the stain but thats not what you want to do in this case.

I looked at a used LS that had some pen marks on the headliner. Didn't buy it but I wondered how the heck to remove those marks. Good luck.

As I said in another thread, one of the very best solvents for ball-point pen ink is cheap aerosol hair spray. I've never tried it on a headliner, but it worked wonders when a pen broke and leaked on my seats.

I'd spray it on a clean cloth and carefully remove the stains.
