Wet Looking Tires !
Hey guys so far ZAINO has been a miracle on my car. I am almost finished with Zaino's tire primer. It is good BUT it lacks the "shine" where all the other oil-based primer give off. I know I have to make a sacrifice if I don't want all that oil crap on the side of my car.
Anyone know any other tire shiner that gives off a brilliant shine W/O leaving all that crap at the side of the wheelwell? I think pretty much 99% of the primer that we see in stores are made of oil .
thanks.

D-man,
I use ArmorAll Tire Foam Spray. A nice shine, but not super ghetto shine....there may be 'oil' in it, silicone I think. I've never had any problems with any of the tires on which I've used it...and, nothing gets thrown up on the sides of my car.

Again I would like to warn every one that oil and rubber don't mix.
Oil will attack rubber and will weaken it. You won't see it in the beginning, but under presure you can get a tire failure.
Please be carefull.
Also I would not advise a silicone based product.

there are all kinds of products out there to use that shouldn't contain any petro products or oils; I found a ton when doing some research on detailing products
carcareonline has a few
griots
meguiars
for me, its just convenient to pick up a can of stuff that has always worked well for me at Wally World....

I am using Eagle 1 right now, and it looks great on the tire, stays on nicely too. I've also used Turtle Wax and Meguire's tire gel - these two are good products. I don't believe either of them contan petrolium products. They protect against your tires turning brown. Like Dexter I pick them up at Wal-Mart, or K-Mart, etc.

LexRx, CSHFLW, I too thought meguiars tire gel was the best and last the longest. It does as a matter of fact BUT unfortunately that thing is FULL of oil ! . The more oil you got in the product the shinier it will become.
