Is there a film or thin overlay you can buy to protect the screen?

I just use my knuckles whenever I need to touch the nav screen--doesn't leave as greasy or as noticeable a mark on the screen like a fingerprint would.

But yeah--I use a very soft MF cloth whenever I do need to clean the screen...

I use computer LCD screen wipes, available at CompUSA and other electronics/computer stores.

I use a Palm Pilot pointer with a rubber tip on it when I input the information. This way, I get little or none
of my prints on the screen. To clean, I wet a MF cloth
and then dry it with a dry part of the same closth.

How many of you guys have a nav screen protector? Perhaps this provides some additional protection?

I've seen this on eBay:

Well I don't have a Nav unit but have a indash tv. I use the soft silky thing that came with my sunglass cleaner. I use them on my Prada shades and it never scratches the lenses or frames. I have been using it on my screen and it hasn't scratched it....yet.

Plexus is my fav for cleaning my Nav. I now use it on my TV, my housemate uses it on his plasma, we all use it on our Flat Panel comp monitors and my other housemate loves it on her glasses. Try the plexus you will love it. It actually creates a thin film of protection (kinda like wax on your paint). Anyway check it out, I got hooked on it by the suggestions from autopia.org

Another vote for Plexus; I used it on my motorcycle windscreen--shines it up really well...or at least shines it up as much as plastic can shine. Not only that, it masks fine plastic scratches pretty well too...
