There are a few scratches on my 2IS, and I'm very unhappy. I'm planning to get the touch-up paint to fix them. Is the paint permanent? What do I have to do afterward to make the surface smooth and doesn't see the the touch-up paint is applied? Thanks.

It's permanent, only if you do the procedure correctly.
If the scratch is deep enough that you can see bare metal, you'll need primer otherwise the touch-up wont bond correctly.
If you want to make it smooth again, you'll need to wetsand the car. this is NOT something you should attempt if you have never done it because. You can severely damage your finish. If your red paint is metallic, it's even worse because metallic paints are harder to fix. The metallic sparkle will stand out.
I just attempted a wetsanding job on my car a few weeks ago and so far, it's holding up well. I'm confident that it'll hold up just as long as OEM.
I dont have a picture of the original scratch, but I had 2 lines that were 6" long, on the fender. The scratches are visible standing 10 ft away![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

After wetsanding, and leveling the paint:

TADA!
It's not an easy job. 20% equipment, 75% technique, 5% beer.
