Lexus/Toyota Touch Up Paint

Lexus/Toyota Touch Up Paint
All i can say is that its a great investment. It was only $11.99 from Santa Monica Lexus. The unit is Toyota/Lexus and comes with a ballpoint pen roller and a pull-out brush. I have a 1999 Black Onyx GS3 with a shyte load of scratches on the rear bumper. I used the brush (since the ball point scared me) and it came out all together very nicely.
Here's my question: The instructions say to clear coat 24 hrs after application of the touch up paint. I do not want to bother with the hassle of taking my car to a shop to do this. Can I just go over the rear bumper Meguirar's 3 step: 1.)Paint Cleaner; 2.) Polish; 3.) Wax?
Will this be sufficient, or will i ruin the bumper?
Thanks for the input fellas.

nice! I have the same for my 1999 black onyx gs400. You wont need to use clear coat. Pre-2001 GS black onyx did not come with clear coat anyways so you can ignore that. Though you should wait 24-48 hours before doing doing the meguiars 3-step because that cleaner will remove some of that touchup if its't not fully cured. I had to wait about 2 days after touchup before I wetsanded the touch up area.

Just used some of the lexus black onxy on my 95 SC3. I found the ballpoint worked excellent for the one 6 inch deep key scratch on my drivers fender. It spread the paint very evenly and filled the entire scratch without any runs. The brush was perfect for the little stone chips below the headlamps.
