Does anybody know what kind of soap they use to clean the car at the Lexus dealership? I just got my car back from service and it's the cleanest it's ever been.

Don't know if every Lexus dealer is the same, but ours here in Hawaii has their own little machine that moves back/forth along the car.
mekrew,
If you've already detailed your car or have done it yourself, I would NOT have it washed. I do believe they use the kind of wash with wax in it. Not positive, but I think.
I just did some warranty work on my car and it was pretty dirty from a few rainstorms. So, because I haven't Zaino'd my RXh yet, I had no objections. But, when my GS went in for service, I made sure that they did not get my car near the car wash machine!

I'm not big on dealer detailing jobs. I even go so far as to keep my car spotless when i bring it in and tell them not to touch it. I used to walk in the service bays when they were working on my car and happened to gander at the detailing bays...didn't look like it was a priority zone. But that's just me and I'm picky as hell over my paint finish.

The car wash was just a complientary service of the dealership. But they still managed to remove the brake dust from the wheels and it really makes all the difference. I would never opt out the wash, considering that I dont have time to wash it myself.

well they washed it today
the wheels are clean the inside is all nice , but my paint isnt as smooth as when i brought it in.
i think they took the wax and polish off because the paint feels rough
guess i have to repolish/wax this week![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

I clayed right after I got the car (okay maybe I waited a week) you want to clay just to get rid of all the rail dust/ etc. etc. that has cumulated during the transport to the dealership.
