I use MicroRestore on my towels since I find it cleans slightly better than Tide HE. The best deal is at properautocare.com

Check out Autogeek. I buy most of my detailing products from them and they have great microfiber towels. http://www.autogeek.net/mictow.html

Also, right now use code COBRA20 and get 20% off microfiber products

In my opinion it really does not matter what brand of micro towel you use, it just has to be completely clean. Everytime i wax my car i use a brand new pack of micro fiber towels, and brand new applicator pads. Once they are used i will only use them for rim polishing and cleaning interior. I just won't use them on my car. I still use them in waxing my clients cars, but i only use the non looking contaminated ones.

That's sure not my experience. For me, cheap towels don't work as well in removing product. Some will even scratch or swirl the paint. Others leave lint and don't hold up to use very well. My experience with microfiber towels is that you get what you pay for.

Here is what AutoGeek has to say about the quality differences in microfiber towels. (http://www.autogeek.net/leabmi.html)
Many of the Microfiber products being offered on the market, especially some types designated for “automobile use” are made from “non-split” (non-absorbent and ineffective) yarn. The manufacturer forgoes the expensive “splitting” procedure to save money, and the result is a failing product. Not only does the blend lose over half of its absorbing and cleaning ability but it weakens with use, greatly reducing the life of the product. Some microfiber products coming out of China and Korea have less density, and a denier (length of measure) of 0.5 or higher, which is 50x’s larger than the preferred quality denier of 0.02 or smaller.

Some of the better MF towels I have found are from:

http://www.pakshak.com
and
http://www.meguiars.com

If you are going to try to use cheap mf towels to try to save a few bucks, at least do the cd test to see that they won't harm your paint.

I have used the MF towels from Costco. 24 towels for $10 is a great price and they work well.

I've bought 2 bundles of these. They work great and for the price you can use them once and just throw them away if you want. Around $ .45 per towel.
