Removing swirls
Hi,
I have a black car with pretty bad swirl marks. What do you guys think about this method of removing swirls by hand?

Just remember that Lexus and Toyota do not use a clear coat on all straight black, white and red cars. This excludes any variation of paint that has a pearl or metallic in it. Therefore the only way to remove swirls is to remove the color. I suggest you find a balance between cutting the paint and filling in the swirls with good polish / sealants and good ol' fashioned carnuba. In my opinion Beauty Shine Pink is the last wax you should put on the car after polish and sealant.

Can someone explain what they mean by the following line:
"* Work the microscopic diminishing abrasives against the finish applying a little passion behind the applicator pad"

I'd also advise you search this detailing forum for 'swirls' for a lot of good advice on other products and techniques

black is any painter/detailers nightmare. you cannot buff (machine) without getting swirls. body shops (that i know of) do not blnd adjacent panels on black cars, and fear buffing the panels due to swrils. 3M pad glaze works well IMO. but its a tedious operation, one that will drive a perfectionist crazy!!
