Unhappy Faded headlights

Hi,

My headlights for the high beam are faded or need to clean, does anyone know how to remove them and clean them so they don't look so discolored.

Are you talking about the outside of the lights or the actual bulb? If it's the bulb, just chuck it and put in a new one...they're so cheap (like $15), there's no point in trying to clean them...

If you're talking about the outside "lens", then all you have to do is take some rubbing compound (take it to car wash that offers detailing or to a car detailer) and rub it...then take some wax and polish it out...will look almost new...

Also, EZ-Off oven cleaner works too...make sure to mask the area around the light so you don't get any on the paint...this is a trick I learned from some of my cop buddies...their mechanics do it on police/sheriff cars...

I used 2000 grit sandpaper and Novus heavy scratch remover to make the lenz clean. at first, use 2000 grit sandpaper (with soap water) and it then makes
foggy since you made the scratch on surface. but after I used scratch remover, it worked ok.
it looks new now
