Looks good. It should last a couple years before you seen the black edges building up. Dirt collects and you need to stay on top of it.

Good luck.

the Ventureshield becomes visible from this angle - really depends on where the light is coming from

Another shot where the Ventureshield can be seen, but you have to be pretty close

Thanks! If a black edge does develop, is there an easy way to get rid of it?

Patience.

Be careful when waxing, the wax buildup occurs at the edges . It takes some time to get it off without peeling the film up.

with my clear bra i havent had the dirt build up but i do wash my car every other day ... as far as wax buildup i recomend some painters tape over the edges and you wont have that problem ..

Looks nice,
Did mine myself with 3M and the bumper was a bear around the sides.

I watched them as they did the bumper and it wasn't something I could've done in 1 shot... at least not nearly as quickly as they were able to knock it out!

Looks real good. I take it you're happy with Sunny's work? I stopped by X-Pert Tint last Friday while checking out clear bra appliers for my "somewhere-in-the-production-line" LS460. I was impressed with his work and was leaning towards giving him the job. If you're happy, that should seal the deal for him.

>> An LS460 came in while I was there today!
Sunny had not worked on an LS460 before when I talked to him - nice to know mine won't be his first.

Did you get the hood edges "wrapped" around the edges (finished off underneath)?

Who tinted your windows - X-Pert Tint? Dealer? Some other tint place in Houston? I'm also looking for a tint place that will do 50-70% ceramic as the WestSide Lexus installer lightest film is only a 45% dyed.

Thanks for posting your experience with X-Pert Tint.

A very soft bristle brush or q-tip will do the trick. Just go easy on the pressure you apply when cleaning. Also works great for detailing around emblems.

I am pretty happy with Sunny's work. He knows what he is doing and has been at it for some time now.

The kit is pre-cut by a computer. The guy who designed the kit made it pretty precise, meaning it does not wrap around the underside of the hood. Watching the install, I could see where wrapping it around would have gotten very tricky. I would have liked it done, but am not overly concerned that it just goes to the edge instead.

Westside did my tint as part of the sale. The LS460 I saw at XPert Tint had its tint done there. One word of caution for you - because the Lexus windows are coated with water repellent, they need to be careful with how much heat they use during the tinting process. In speaking with the owner of the LS460, he found that out the hard way during the tinting process... did not get all of the details, but I think he replaced the window as a result. The tint job that XPert Tint did, however, looked great in the end , definitely a very dark tint.

Thanks! That's what I figured I'd have to do if I eventually had that problem!
