I have a 99 lx470 and the metal trim on my tailgate (upper) is wrinkling (?) for lack of a better word. Yesterday I was behind another lx470 and I noticed they had the same problem. Has anyone ever encountered this and attempted to fix it? It really is an eye sore. To try to better describe it..it looks like the metal is lifting but there are no holes, or tears. Not really a rusting out look as there is no holes as mentioned. Sort of like the metal is painted on and it is lifting off and has a wrinkled appearance all over. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried searching, but didnt know what to call it so came up emtpy.

Yes, but the greatest thoughts are those that stimulate the imagination and imagery of the mind. I don't think pictures are going to show the 3 dimentional effect that we are trying to describe. But I will post some.
