Default "L" Key Polished

I got tired of the dullness of the gold Lexus "L" on my master key. I'm sure most can relate. So I decided to try some metal polishing products that I bought for my wheels on my keys. Here are the results...

Before....

After...

Yes, I polished the blade too.

You can replace the backing for about $20.

I did the same thing last night with similar results. I used barkeepers friend - a stainless steel polish. Put a very small dab on L logo and get an old tooth brush. Buff away. Use a q-tip to really buff it and wipe with a damp cloth. Beware you will also take out any luster left of the surrounding plastic - but I really liked the look it left on the key housing- a very polished matte black.
