I used to work for a Volvo dealership where they applied this product to countless vehicles. Its definitely worth it and it is not a gimmick. The biggest reasons why people get it is because of the better than Rain-X performance, glare reduction, and scratch resistance. We had quite a few demonstrations of this product at my dealership and even owners coming back in months later with nothing but praise. Just keep using the provided booster kit(once a year or every few months, however often they tell you to use it, I forget), and it should last for a good 5-7 years. At the time, my dealership charged around $450. But you might be able to find a shop that charges less as more places are taking the time to train their employees. Its a pretty extensive process and if Im not mistaken, you must have some sort of license to apply this product.

Hope that helps some.
