Default Lexus GS400 Before/after: PC, Menzerna Intensive and Final, NXT (15 pictures; 5.92MB

EDIT: More pictures from a small photoshoot and full wheel polishing in post #29.

I got this Lexus last Saturday and the paint was in poor condition.I touched up all the chips and scratches. Afterwards, I ordered a PC and Menzerna polishes, and used my Clay Magic bar and the remainer of my NXT wax. The results are still shocking to me everytime I look at the car. Enjoy the pictures.

The paint is so extremely smooth. It took out most of the scratches and made the shine so deep. Thanks for looking.

How much would you charge for a detail like that?

Man...this reminds me of the days I use to detail my car. Looking at these great pictures makes me want to detail again. Too bad my car gets dusty within 30 minutes. hehe

It's a 6 hour job. So probably $200 max.

The exhaust tips were rusty, dirty and grimey. This is the result from 2000 grit sanding and Mother's metal polish.

OUTSTANDING JOB Is this with the PC7424 dual action or did you use the circular machine?

That was an amazing before and after. How did you get all those scratches, scrapes, swirlmarks, and chips out? I have much smaller scratches then yours and nothig seems to get rid of them other then putting touchup on them but it always looks horrible after I add touch up paint so I just leave it alone. I have not used a Porter Cable. What did you use and how did you go about applying it on the engine bay, it looks brand new now. Nice work. I usaully tell people when buying a used car to not worry too much about minor scratches/scrapes/ and a dirty exterior/interior because that can all be cleaned up and made to look almost like new with the right products and proper applications.

I highly suggest you get some good polish and a PC. That's how I removed all the imperfections. For the chips, I touched them up and let them cure. The polish flattened them out. They are barely noticable in direct sunlight. The engine bay was done with simple green and armorall.

I used a 7424. Foolproof.
