need help with GX
my trip to Az brought me some chips / bugs on the front bumper//
any one know how to get the bug marks off ?
the chips are small .. I do have the touch up paint would I be better to have someone touch the GX at the Dealer ?
I've never ever had a chip in any of my Lexus so this a new thing for me .
by the way the trip in my GX was wonderful
TIA

I usually go for meguiars proffessional line. They have a solvent that could take any stains off.

But usually, bugs come off with a regular carwash.
For the rock chips...theres no way to avoid them unless you use a car bra when you go on long trips. Theres also some spray on product that protects your car from bugs/rock chips and washes off after.

Just to add, I had a few chips on my GX. Right at the front of the hood and below the grill. This is the catch all for chips on this vehicle.
I tried the Langka and it worked fine and will suffice for most out there. Good for beginners. Problem is trying to get a flat repair with it as a cloth material is wrapped over a plastic card and this still provides for difficulty in getting a completely flat repair.
Instead I just filled the chips and then wet sanded down the area. This requires extreme care but also results in a almost perfect chip repair that is not noticed 99.99% of the time and only when you are really looking for it under a fluorescent light. It is that good. But again, chip repair using wet sanding can be risky and will ruin the paint if not done correctly. But the results are simply awesome as I did the entire hood and the blue pearl is breathtaking now. A clear bra is going on within days to keep the chips off.
