Can anyone give some good pointers on using teh PC 7424, I'm thinking of buying one and just want some good info.
Can I use normal polish and waxes? For example NXT, and othe meguirs products?
I there something better I could purchase? I have black car BTW....thanks for the help!

I bought my PC 13 years ago and consider it the very best detailing tool I've ever purchased.
You can use most of the normal products but this tool opens up your arsenal to some much more effective products. I particularly like Meguiar's #80 polish. If you need a more aggressive polish their #83 is very good.
I use my PC for applying all my paint cleaners, polishes, glazes and waxes. It works very well with NXT Tech liquid, BTW as well as Meguiar's #21.
When applying polishes use a polishing pad and start at a slower speed (3-4) to spread the product and avoid splatter then boost the speed to 4-5. Apply 5 - 10 pounds of pressure and polish an area about 2' x 2' at a time.
When applying waxes use a finishing pad and use speed 3 to spread a very thin even coat of product.
If you also purchase some microfiber buffing bonnets you can remove the wax very easily with the PC too.
I know there are some videos on-line of proper PC use.
Here are a few decent guides.
