Default Are all Clay Bars the same?

Ebay has a Company selling Clay Bars by them selves. You can buy in groups of 1,3,5 or more. Would they be the same quality as Mothers etc & how long can you keep them & how would you store them?

How often do you plan on using a clay bar on your car that you need to buy in bulk? Twice a year is more than enough for most cars

Thanks for the replies. I have two friends that has only used the clay bar once each. We were thinking about buying maybe three bars, but one of them tried to keep the remainder of his bar & he couldn't use it after a few months. I guess it is best to just buy a kit when you want to use it. Thanks Kickin for the site in Hayward. I'll go call them when I need the next bar. I just clay barred it yesterday for the first time & it is really smooth.I didn't even know about it before joining this site.

not all clay bars are the same, some are more agressive than others ,which are designed for bigger fall-out,railroad dust, paint overspray particles,e.t.c

To answer the original question all clay bar are different in quality. Claymagic, the originators of clay bars, standout in quality as do Sonus and Meguiars bars. I wouldnt take a chance with bars on ebay unless you know they are made by a particular company.

Yea really. Unless you are doing other peoples cars and running a business... I did find Mother's Clay Bar System at wal-mart yesterday for $14.XX. Maybe you should just get a kit each time and clay only once or twice a year...
