I think they should last a while at normal temps. I left a couple bottles in the car once in Houston summer weather. they were congealed pretty bad even after I shook em.
could we buy a bunch when it's on sale and save it for later? or should we just buy when needed?
If you don't scorch it or freeze it most wax products will age well.
OTOH, this protection technology is changing rapidly. I wonder if you will want to use a 10 year old wax product when there will certainly be much more effective products available in the future.
For example. I can get around 70 applications out of a tin of Meguiar's #16. I have a couple tins in storage. If I used this wax quarterly, I have 35 years of product to use. I also have a couple bottles of NXT Tech Wax, NXT Tech Paste Wax, #21 Synthetic Sealant, some Medallion Premium Paint Protection and a few others. I like to try new products more thatn I like to save a few bucks.
