Default gummy, sticky door panel

have 01 430, above driver's door armrest, there is a 5x5" area that is sticky and shiny.
have tried Lexol Cleaner and Pristine Clean. Even tried a dab of glass spray cleaner and a dab of Goof Off. nothing penetrates the layer of clear stickyness

maybe it the poly layer that reacted with something?
any suggestions?

tia.

The tan colored leather is not faded or worn. The area looks a bit smoother, more gloss, yet sticky to the touch; compared with bordering areas.

You may try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser on the area. I had a simular spot on my 88 Mark VII and it cleaned it up nicely.
