Before pics are like anyones who had yellow oxidation on their headlights. I wet sand using 2K, but i don't do that anymore. The first time is all you need. And yes, I use both. First I apply the Plastx to clean the lens and make it scratch free, then I use mothers which claims to have UV protectant (which i'm not sure if it does), and thats my end result.

The Drill is your typical everyday Makita Wall Plug Powerdrill, Basically with the right attachment you can drill into concrete block with it. I somewhat jerry rigged the buffer pad though, because, and I'm sorry, but I can't for the life of me remember where i got the pad from, but i used a special bit my dad had from some other tool, broke that completely since it was garbage, then slipped a washer on the bit, then the pad, then another washer, then used a screw that came with the bit and screwed it on tightly. IE I have damaged my lens before because i tilted it too flat on the lens, and the screw took a small cut into the lens. I sanded most of it out, and have learned my lesson with how much tilt i can give it.

No worries. I just put it on the drill pad and just pad it onto the headlight gently, so as the screw in the center won't scratch the headlight. I pad the whole thing, then go over it with my buffer a few times. After that, I use a microfiber cloth to wipe the headlight clean.

Headlight Restoration
New member here . Recently purchased a 2001 LS 430 Ultra , Millenium Silver over Black with Chrome wheels and upgraded leather , 85,000 miles , mint condition , really nice body and interior , in Austin , Texas .
I have recently revived my wifes former cars' headlights , 2002 honda accord , with a product called CV headlight restorer/defogger . Available at Wal Mart or at My Headlight.com . The headlight covers would not have passed inspection beforehand . After the treatment they were as good as new . I was sceptical at first because I had already used SCRATCHX remover with no change at all . This stuff was amazing .
It was $ 19.99 @ Wal Mart and I've already purchased another treatment for my Lexus to tidy them up .
I had not seen any mention of this product here so I thought I'd pass it along .
My previous car was a 1996 Infinity Q45 , which I loved .
These forums are even better than Nicoclub and I appreciate all the great feedback . Thanks

Hey guys, new to the forums, here's my contribution.
Just did this today, PlastX did a wonderful job of eliminating yellowness, but there is still an odd haze. You can't tell very much in the pictures, but maybe it is from the inside.
Before...
I used a Mini-Powerball after cleaning stray dirt and grime with plain dish detergent. I dried the lens thoroughly before applying the PlastX.
Looking professional!
After!
