Default Now I remember why I wanted a Black car!!

W'sup all, well I finallly got a chance to do a semi-detail (cheated on the clay part) on my car using a PC for the first time on my IS (I did practice one time on my dessert dune runner first). So I'm not that convinced there's it made much difference because my car is only couple of months old. But it still looked pretty good to me. Since I'm new to this type of madness any suggestion to improve results welcomed.

1) Washed - single bucket but rinsed mitt with hose before each dip. (meg. car wash)
2) Liquid Clay - was lazy at the time and never used clay bar before (TW liquid clay)
3) Dried - mf waffle
4) Megs. paint cleaner - PC w/green sonus pad remove residue w/mf towel
5) NXT - PC w/blue sonus pad removed w/mf towel

Next day

6)Megs. #26 - PC with sonus mf bonnet on orange pad. removed w/mf
7)tire dressing - 303

so what do you guys think I did take some pics before detail a few weeks before (just wash) and after.

Very nice. I'd say from the photo's that you achieved a clearer more reflective shine. Nothing like driving a freshly detailed black car.

yup the rear shot before/after definitely shows you made it into a deeper black, looks great!

Thanks all, it was fun almost therapeutic going thru the detailing process. Plus the smell of that NXT is addicting and of course that euphoria when you stand back and look at your finished product. Wished I had the time and energy to do it more often.

yes I hear you Rich, specially coming form polar extremes from my runner that doesnt show even an inch thick layer of dirt.... to a car that shows every single particle of dust!

But I think I caught the bug, and ready to come out and admit it.....
My Name is Ted and I'm addicted to detailing my car

OK come on all of you out there, let the healing begin.
When and how did you realize that you were addicted to detailing your car?

For me, it was a month ago when I placed a bottle of QT and mf towels in the trunk and actually found my self using it at a parking lot in public.

What? You mean you don't have the QD and MF towel in the door bin, right next to you?

The car looks fantastic...very nice job on the detail. It's great you've got the passion - keeping up the maintenance is like a part time job. Careful washing technique and a fresh topcoat will make things easier. Great to see another bay area detailing junkie as well!

Good job. Definitely looks deeper and the clarity is much better. Amazing what a good detail would do to a car.

Maybe it's just me but I really can't tell the difference. The car appears to be immaculate both before and after!!
