3M clear bra yellow
I guess it might be a starfire pearl body thing, I had the clear bra (3M) for about a month I just noticed in my garage lighting I can see the bra is yellower than the paint. Do the flourescent lights enhance this effect?
I am a bit concerned now, on a white car, is it going to give the paint underneath a different color if I decided to take the clear bra off down the road?
I once had a satellite radio for a couple of years when I took off the antenna it left a shade of white different from the rest of the roof. But then this is completely opaque coverage.

I was told that the newer bras allow the paint to fade at the same rate as the unprotected parts of the car.
Im hearing alot of bad stories with the clear bras and now and thinking about not doing this, although I really dont want my front to get hammered with rock chips anymore

White and silver will always show a little yellow under flourescent lights. White is the worst. They always look much better under natural light. To help keep this under control you want to wax the bra on a regular basis and keep it clean. They all turn a little yellow but it takes time depending on the film you have. The cleaner you keep it the better its going to look over time.
Its a bit of a trade off. Do you want a bra that shows slightly or a bunch of rock chips and bug stains.

Thanks for the info. I keep my car clean all the time so dont have a problem keeping the bra clean and waxing it as often as needed. Honestly I would rather peel a bra off and replace it than have to repaint due to tons of unsightly rock chips

Its not so bad on silver. I just covered mine after having the front repainted. Under lights you can see it on the hood and fenders but outside even I have to look for it. Its a lot like paint. The better you take care of it the better its going to look and last. Plexus is a great product to use between waxing to keep it clean and protected.

OK thanks for all the info, so it's just the flourescent lights right? I just wanted to make sure it was not a installer's problem somehow yellowed it.
Because it looks ok outside I think!. I heard after few years it will turn yellow and it would be best to have it redone?
What I don't want to do is getting the whole front 1/3 of the car painted because of problems different fade rates etc

under certain lights, the clear bra will show a slight tint of color. I have a silver car.
after several years of weathering, the clear bra will show minor signs of yellow tint color. That's normal. I've had mine since '03 and still holding strong even the minor discoloration. BTW, total protection and I don't have to worry about it everytime I'm behind big rigs and big trucks/SUV's.

Plexus is a plastic cleaner, protectant and polish. When I got my clearbra from Aerotect, Francisco gave me a free can of it. I ended up buying a 13 pack from AutoGeek

^^ Beat me to it.
Its a plastic cleaner and polish. Works real well for keeping the film protected and leaves a smooth clean surface. You can get it all over the web. Amazon always has it for decent prices as well as a few detail sites that I have seen.
