Which one is better (for a black car if it makes any difference)?

I would use a quick detailer for cleaning up dust, but I wouldn't rely on it for somewhat dramatic changes. Both will do it's job, but many have used the Meguiars more than the Mothers.

I dont notice any difference with either one when it comes to cleaning abilities.

You should try the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer. It should be available in stores by now.

I've used a number of different products. Right now, I'm using Adams and liking the results. To be honest, there is a variety of products in this area that all do great jobs. I also like "Slick stuff from The Wax Shop.

I have used both Megs and Mothers and others such as Clay Magic Bodyshone #49 etc. Between Megs an Mother's. I prefer Mothers. I also use Duragloss Aquawax as a QD

Another vote here for Aquawax...the stuff is amazing.
But to answer your question, I prefer Megs over Mothers.

I've only heard good things about the Megs UQD. Haven't tried it personally, though. I use Zaino Z-8 Gloss Enhancer and Poorboy's Spray & Wipe.

If the Ultimate QD works so well, why bother to WAX????

because the UQD doesn't have the same protecting qualities of a proper wax.

quick detailers are meant for touching up.

i swear by ANY meguiars product and i use them all. their quik detailer works amazing and it works well in ALL situations.. i use it when i get water spots on the paint or if a bird decides it wants to crap all over my car.
