Default Dealer's Full-detail

Just wondering if anyone has had a full detail job from the dealers. I have a credit for one cause they washed my car after I repeatedly told them not to (even said so in my paper work in big red sharpie), but guesss what they did.... yup washed it and now I have swirl marks everywhere, as you may have known the car is black. But the service guy was cool and told me that they will detail the car next time I come in (which I hope soon, waiting for my brake pads for tsb). So my question is, is it worth it to wait or should I just go ahead and break out the PC and do it my self. I'm just a bit lazy lately and if they do a well enough job I figure it can buy me at least another month before I can do a full detail job myself.

Think about this. In all likelihood the same "professional" who washed your car will be the dude who details it. If you think he messed up the paint with a sponge and towel just think what he might be able to do with a rotary buffer.

I'd want to meet this guy doing the detail beforehand to see what his work is like, his cleanliness, his tools, the products used (pads, buffers, polishes, waxes), other cars he's done, etc.

Lexus, like all other auto dealerships sell and service (mechanically) cars. That's their forte. I'd not expect a good detail from most car dealerships.

I'd be betting on holograms and swirl city.

Stay away! Just do it yourself. Get the credit ($200) though, for some other accessories, perhaps?
