Applied conditioner to leather seats and hate the results
I purchased a bottle of Lexus Genuine Leather Conditioner at the dealership and applied it to perforated leather. The seats look better, but leather became firm and *** very squeaky ***! I also feel like I am sitting on plastic .
I thought I applied too much conditioner so I rubbed it with terry cloth for a while. It helped only a little. Nothing reminds of smooth and comfy feeling like it was before.
Will this condition persist? Is it going to wear out ever?

Mine felt the same for about 2 weeks, then it went away, they feel a little smoother now then before and I kinda like it.
Since we're on this topic, I find that after putting the conditioner down, about a day or two after...i get these spots/shades on the leather. I will try to take pic of it some time. To get them off, I just used the Lexus Leather cleaner, and the spots go away. Its kind of odd, most people probably wouldnt notice it. Similar thing happened when I used another brand cleaner & conditioner.

Leather will degrade over time. The conditioner cannot exactly re create the 'new leather feeling' of a new car.. Just make sure to condition your seats monthly if you live in a hot/sunny climate.

I will try the AS303 on my seats and see if I like the results.

Just a comment re: AS303. This is a protective treatment and not a replacement for a cleaner or a conditioner. If you want to properly care for your leather be sure to clean and condition regularly. Use of 303 will likely prolong the life of the leather by adding UV protection but it will not soften or condition your leather. Think of 303 as an optional extra.

That's what I thought. I use Zymol Cleaner and Conditioner. I know there are ton of other better stuff...I am just trying to finish up my supply and I will switch.

When you do please report back how you like it and how it compares to your leather specific products. Make sure you spray on a damp towel instead of directly so it gets even application.
Because my car is quite new and I read the Lexus leather info thread, it says Lexus leather was sprayed by clear coat, until that wears out, the leather conditioner won't do anything, as the leather won't absorb it.
But if there is a routine to alternate between cleaner/conditioner and AS303, please let me know how?

Will do! I always thought that AS303 was for my dashboard and plastic trims only, plus my tires. I use them on all rubber trims outside, too.

If you think your urethane coating is not porous, try this. Pour some ink on the seats and leave it sit for a few minutes. Then try wiping it off. You will find out pretty quickly just how porous this coating is. LOL
