Do you wax your wheels?

I have used poorboys wheel sealant and the product is great. Now I use wheel wax because it is readily available at a local auto parts store and its cheaper. It doesnt seem to last as long so I reapply every other week, where as the poorboys I would only apply once a month. One thing that I love is that it makes it very easy for quick cleaning when you dont need to wash the whole car.

Where do you get the Poorboys? How much? I use AS303 but it does not last but a couple of days. Thanks.

Any car wax will do for the wheels. It helps alot with keeping the wheels clean, especially cuts down on the road tar and brake dust.
Heat build-up is mainly on the rotors, not the wheels. It shouldn't get any hotter than a black paint job in direct sunlight.

The best thing to use is a sealant not a wax. The heat build up on the wheels is much hotter than a black car in the sunlight and will destroy most waxes. Sealants such as Zaino, etc. have a much higher tolerance for heat.

The wheels do not see the high temperature, unless you have sticking calipers, then you have a problem.
