Default Plexus answers some questions to CL members

Just to let you guys/gals know the answers I received from Plexus regarding of what I think is the best product for maintaining the headlights and any other plastic in our cars.

My IS is two month old and I just wanted to find a product for the only purpose of maintaining new plastic not just for polishing like Meguiars PlastX.

1) Does Plexus has UV protection?
Answer: Plastic has UV protection built in by using Plexus you maintain the materials UV protection. Plexus does not contain UV inhibitors because we feel it is just a marketing ploy to say so or put a UV inhibibitor chemical in Plexus. There are applications where you would not want to block UV like tanning beds. So the short answer is yes because you are maintaining and conditiong the material by using Plexus and no UV inhibitors in Plexus
2) Many car detailers use Plexus first and then apply 303 Aerospace
Protectant to get SPF 40 protection from the sun, Do you guys have
any objections to this practice?
Answer: Do not have an answer and you can try it and see if you like the results. We think using Plexus will do the whole job!
3) Since Plexus seals the pores in plastic surfaces with a micro-thin
layer of shiny protective wax and provides anti-static properties,
Does 303 Aerospace really adheres to the plastic lenses after Plexus
is applied? Is 303 Aerospace repelled?
Answer: I am unfamiliar with that practice and do not have an answer. Plexus is sold to over 60 industries we do not know every application details pertaining to other products.
4) Does Plexus is recommended to be apply to a new car's head/rear
lights plastic lenses?

Answer: absolutely yes! Plastic needs to be maintained from day 1 and by applying Plexus to a new car will start it off with the best proetion and luster
5) Does Plexus, being a polish, in anyway scratch the plastic lenses
of the headlights?
Answer: Plexus does not contain any harsh chemicals or abraisives or alcohol and Plexus is lubricating so your answer is Plexus will not cause any scratching or abraision obviously use a soft clean coth and we reccomend do not use paper towels they contain wood fiber that can scratch plastics.
6) What is the transparency rating of Plexus?
Answer: Do not know your answer specifically however Plexus is completely transparent and will not discolor or turn yellow.
Please use Plexus on paint as well paint is a form of plastic and Plexus perfoirms great on paint, chrome , wheels etc.

Thanks for choosing Plexus!

I also use Plexus on the plastic speedo cluster and it does a wonderful job on the wood trim because they are clear coated.

Have you try it on alloy painted wheels?

No I have not but if they are clearcoated I see no issue.
If they are not clearcoated try a test area first.
