Default Brake chatter after a wash

Every time I wash my car and pull it back into my parking spot I always get brake chatter (going forwards or backwards). Is there a step I'm missing? Any way to avoid this?

Most likely, the swept area of the rotors are getting a rusty residue on them from the wash (yes, it happens that fast with iron). It's not a big deal because each time you apply the brakes with the car moving, the pads are sanding the residue off quite quickly.

You might also check to make sure your slide pins / rails and such are lubricated with a silicone type grease. You will get binding and noise otherwise.

Good luck.

that's the fact of life...you cant avoid it

As what Dan says....just drive it around the block, the noise will be gone with the rust....
