Default Need help removing Spoiler Adhesive....

I recently purchased a GS4 which just had the factory spoiler removed. I am putting a RMM 3 piece in its place, but I can't seem to remove the adhesive left from the factory spoiler. It is a full ring of brownish adhesive outlining the old spoiler that appears to be harder than the clearcoat. It does not feel sticky at all. I tried 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner #08987, but that did not appear to make any difference. Is there a better 3M product to use for this? Or a non 3M product that will be safe for my paint?

Goo gone works great, it make take a few applications, and inbetween applications I would apply a quick coat of wax to prevent scratches and it sort of lubricates the area. When I did this I noticed some slight hairline scratches from rubbing so just started to wax inbetween coats and no problems at all
