Question detailing the engine compartment

What type cleaners do u guys use to clean ur engines? I've heard that products like Simple Green, etc. are too harsh for our engine (covers, etc.) and im not sure what else to use. I ve tried soap and water but it doesn't really do much. I would like to get that new, shiny look. Any suggestions?

In order to get that new shiny look, you have to get your motor steam cleaned so that all the oil and grime and grease is pull off with a combo of heat and detergents and then they follow it up with a coating of armor all or some other protectant that makes it all shiny and gives it that shiny oily look.

I'm afraid of doing it myself. I had car problems with my SUPRA and since then I take it to this car wash that I know... man ! they do a good job, I think they use what Erfan is using...

My 0.07 cents
