sand it? or not?

Default sand it? or not?

okies.. my paint on my car looks like crap right now.. i really need a paint job.. but the money just isnt here haha.. so i was thinking about sanding my car myself.. i rather see my car sanded than paint peeling all over.. i mean.. evertime i get a car wash a lot more paint start peeling.. if you guys think its okie.. for me to sand the car myself.. then.. can any one help me on tips how to sand?... like.. what grit sand paper to start on.. and.. to end on? .. thanks

you could just sand the whole car with 400. just be sure to feather everything out. if you are going to prime the whole thing then use 320. if you put up pics it would be easier to give you advice....

just get some hand eletrical sanders and spend a couple hours a day on it or a whole day to do it right, start at 320, then finish off with something higher, such as 600

Best to find an air compressor and use a pneumatic DA sander. The electric one will work but once you get to the wetsanding part, you dont want water to land on the electric sander.

It sounds a lot like your clear is peeling, you'll need more of a repaint instead of actual sanding...Post some pics so we call see how it looks like..

im actually doing a color change to the car.. so i think i definitly sand everything.. ill get some pics up soon..
