Default Cleaning up Debadge gunk

Hi Everyone,

Before everyone rips me a new one with, "search you tool" responses. I was surprised to only find 14 threads on the topic of "debadge". With that said, I could not find any useful information on how to clean the calcium like residue on the perimeter of each badge. Does anyone know of a good solution to remove this? I wanted to clean it up nicely before reapplying my new badges. Thanks in advance!

Okay, this is how I got rid of my badges and pin strip on my last car...

1) I soaked it in a lubricant (wd40, "decal remover", goo gone etc).
2) Then I used a razor blade and at a extreme angle, i pushed it under the gunk. Remove ALL you can.
3) Then I used some polish to remove the rest of the crap, then waxed it.

What type of polish? Can you recommend a brand/type?

I used Goo Gone. I let it soak for 45-60 seconds, and the gunk came off with ease.

the easiest way possible to get that tape resideu and stickers and all the stuff off. is to buy a drill and get a thing that goes at the end. its like a round eraser deal. it makes life so much easier. but you can wear through the paint if you sit in a spot to long. matco, snap-on and stuff sell them you can prolly get them at pep boys or something. trust me. this is what you need to do

Clay bar perhaps? Usually does the trick for other residue caught on the exterior paint.
