To avoid this with a Car Cover, it will have to be water proof..
Also, unless you intend on covering the car after you wash it... you will get tons of micro scratches covering a dirty / dusty car every day..
The solution lies with adjusting your sprinkler heads so they don't hit the LS600h L...
or buy a SuperSized umbrealla...

Custom make some type of sprinkler blocker. Make it out of plastic, plywood or cardboard and then wedge it btwn the curb and the grass or dirt. Just a thought.
I use products by Adam's Polishes. Your hard water stains can be taken off using their "swirl and haze" remover and then you have to finish with the "butter wax." Its lots of work for a daily problem.

Meanwhile, we have this thing in Florida called wind. I know SoCal only has it when the state is on fire, but we get it here pretty frequently. Doesn't matter where the sprinklers are adjusted. By morning, the car is covered with water spots.

Here's the answer for stopping water spotting. Use Griots Paint Sealant and then every time after washing use Griots Spray On Wax.
Also rominl , when using a car cover you Must use a duster before applying the car cover and it will not scratch the paint.I use a cover when parked at work, weather permiting.

Hey zzzz....I take it by your sig...you own 4 cars?? If so, park the '02 LS and the GX outside...let them get all spotty...and keep the Lambo and new LS in the garage.
Damn....if that bottle didn't say "Paint Sealant"...I sure took for something else

The Lambo goes in one garage.
The LS600hL goes in the other.
My wife's GX470 goes on the driveway.
My daughter's LS430 goes on the driveway.
The divorce attorney's car goes where????
I can sleep on the couch, or the GX470 can sleep in the garage.

Let me make sure I have the logistics right.
The Lambo goes in one garage.
The LS600hL goes in the other.
My wife's GX470 goes on the driveway.
My daughter's LS430 goes on the driveway.
The divorce attorney's car goes where????

lexkost, using the duster is no problem, but from what i know, car cover is not made of microfiber (at least most of them aren't), especially along the bottom where it's elastic. basically you have to "get it over" and wrap the car, and a lot of times when you pull it down, you start putting swirls, since the car cover obviously has dust, etc...
i am just saying it's pretty good chances i think

rominl, hope to meet you at the Xmas meet and I will bring some of my detailing items and you can look at my 96LS will original paint and determine yourself.

Hey, got a new solution. I turned off all the sprinklers. Worked like a charm. No water spots this week.
Of course, my lawn and landscaping is dying, and my landscaper yelled at me yesterday. But no water spots.
Reluctantly, the sprinklers were turned on again last night. Heavy sigh.
